Me, Myself & I

My Monthly Must-Haves

April 27, 2017

It’s that funny time of year when summer is beginning to fade into the background, but we’re not quite ready to embrace our jumpers and the falling leaves. But fret not, my pretties! I’m going to show you lots of things to help you get over that September slump and help you run into Autumn with arms outstretched. After all, there’ll be a couple of bangers on the barbie in it for you!

Netflix and chill!

Yes, we can do that at any time of the year, but Netflix is extra special at this time of year because you get to snuggle under a cosy blanket with your bae while you watch the scariest movies you can bear. A great reason to have a glass of wine or two and pretend to be ‘scared’ so you jump into his arms. Yes, we know no-one falls for that, but your other half won’t be complaining. Don’t know where to start, go for the classics. 1…2…Freddy’s coming for you…

Military chic

OMG, military style is in right now, and I just can’t get enough of this long buttoned-down coat. The military trend was all over the catwalks in London, Paris, New York and Milan with Prada, Miu Miu and others all embracing the trend. Not only really smart, but it shows off killer pins too. Will someone buy one of these for me, please?

Delivered coffee

Those guys at NOMI have come up with a great option. Bottled coffee, delivered to your home or place of work. Steeped for over 16 hours with cold water for a sweeter, natural taste means you need less sugar in it for your morning brew! Just what I need when I’m sitting at the desk all day, but don’t want to go out for a coffee chain cuppa.

Fantastic Fitbit

When the weather gets colder, party season weighs down on us, so this is the time that I start panicking about how I’m going to look in my party dress. So this month, I’ve been mainly focused on my Fitbit, that glorious gadget that tells me how much effort (or not) I’ve exerted over the day. It’s even given me so much of a boost that I’ve found myself walking down to the gym… with the Fitbit on my arm. One of the best bits of fitness kit I own, after my vibration plate which soothes aching muscles and wobbly bums. The girl in the pic is sadly not me.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage

When you’re blessed with skin like mine (imagine a sun-bleached vampire with crows feet), it’s difficult to find a concealer on the market that is suitable. Step in Laura Mercier with her secret camouflage to save the day. Not only is it available in a range of shades that suit even the palest amongst us, but it’s also kind on dry skin thanks to its nourishing ingredients. I carry my pot with me everywhere thanks to its teeny tiny size and ability to hide even the largest of ugly red spots! Oh, and did I mention Kate Moss is a fan?
